Santa Fe Weather Guide
Nestled in the picturesque Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Santa Fe averages
more than 300 days of sunshine per year. Santa Fe also has four distinct
seasons, and generally has less than 40 perecent humidity. Santa Fe is
7,000 feet above sea level, which means day temperatures reach an average
low of 40 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter months, and an average
high of 91 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer.
Nights are cool year-round in this "high desert" city. Generally,
Santa Fe receives six to eight snowfalls per year between November and
April.
Visitors to Santa Fe should wear sunscreen, even in the winter, and drink
plenty of water while visiting, because the city's high altitude makes
it easier to get a sunburn or get dehydrated.
